As something new and special, half finger gloves are longer than normally and have an extra inner cuff. Let the inner cuff go under the pullover/jacket and fold the half finger's cuff above to create tightness. It makes it easier to keep yourself warm because the skin and blood vessels around the wrist are not cooled down.
